Joseph Charleman, CST/CSFA, CRCST, LPN, MS

Joseph Charleman, CST/CSFA, CRCST, LPN, MS is the Chair of the Berkeley College Surgical Technology and Surgical Processing programs. In 1984, he served in the U.S.  Army where he was trained as a surgical technologist. In 2005, He received his Bachelors of Science in Organizational Management from Nyack College. In 2011, he received his Masters of Health Care Administration from New England College. He has been a Surgical Technologist for 30 years working in several New York and New Jersey hospitals.

Joseph is a board member of the New Jersey State assembly for the Association of Surgical Technology and serves on the National Association of Surgical Technologist education committee. He also holds an IAHCSMM instructors license and is a Trip administrator for medical missions abroad for Healing the Children Organization Hawthorne New Jersey.

Joseph has participated in several medical missions to Ecuador, Peru and the Dominican Republic from 2013 through the present. In 2015, Joseph was presented with the William B. Dennis humanitarian of the year award for his contributions and work towards global medical missions.
