Jacque A. Crosson DNP, RN, CPAN, FASPAN

Dr. Jacque Crosson is the Manager of Perianesthesia Nursing at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Health Arts at the University of St. Francis in Jolliet, Illinois; her Masters in Nursing at the University of Phoenix, in Arizona; and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Grand Canyon University in Arizona.

Her role as Perianesthesia Nursing Manager includes both inpatient and ambulatory settings. She ensures that ASPAN Standards are woven into clinical practice and that evidence supports bedside nursing interventions. With over 25 years of perianesthesia nursing experience, Jacque is a fierce advocate of patient safety and continuous education for nurses in our specialty practice. A champion of nursing certification, she mentors her colleagues to become certified in perianesthesia nursing.

Active in the American Society for Perianesthesia Nurses, Jacque is a past national president, secretary, and current chair for the Standards and Guidelines Strategic Work Team. Committee involvement includes clinical practice, and evidence-based practice. Locally in her home component of the Arizona Perianesthesia Nurses Association (AzPANA), she has been Past President twice, and is currently serving as Secretary.

Additional activities include peer-review for the Journal of PeriAnesthesia Nursing (JOPAN), project manager for ASPAN’s Acuity and Workload Index, and mentor for students pursuing their DNP. Organizational involvement include ERAS USA (education planning & member), American Nurses Association (ANA), Association of Operating Room Registered Nurses (AORN), and American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). She is one of the first Fellows of the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN).
